We welcome all researchers and developers who can benefit from WAN-in-Lab to make use of it. If you would like to use it, contact .
The following is not a legal document, but outlines general conditions under which for-profit organizations can use WAN-in-Lab.
Guidelines for use
For-profit organizations may use WAN-in-Lab free of charge, provided this does not interfere with the use by not-for-profit researchers.
The WAN-in-Lab support team will not guarantee to be available to help in any particular matter. However, feel free to ask.
Organizations must obtain accounts on WAN-in-Lab machines to perform experiments. As this involves overhead, we ask that organizations first check that WAN-in-Lab will actually be of use to them.
Since WAN-in-Lab is a public resource, data on the servers is not secure. Each organization takes sole responsibility for protecting any sensitive data or code which is placed on WAN-in-Lab servers.
Private servers may be attached to WAN-in-Lab, if agreement is obtained beforehand, provided this does not interfere with others.
Users are required to pre-book times for using WAN-in-Lab and are responsible for keeping to the agreed time and equipment allocations.
Users are not permitted to use WAN-in-Lab for illegal or immoral purposes.
These guidelines may change from time to time; for example, if there is sufficient demand, we may introduce a cost-recovery fee for commercial users. All users will be given fair notice of such changes.
